2016 Best Private Eye Novel Competition - Open for Submissions

For those of you who have a PI novel on your hard drive you might consider The Best Private Eye Novel Competition sponsored by Minotaur Books and the PWA.  The deadline is July 1 and there is no fee to enter.  The prize is publication and a $10,000 advance against royalties.  You can find all the details here, just scroll down the page as the first two competitions are closed.

UPDATE:  April 3, 2016 - According to the PWA website there will be no competition until they acquire a new sponser.

It seems that the entries for 2016 needed to be submitted in December of 2015.

For the first two competitions, yes, but the PWA competition has a deadline of July 1. I checked it twice to make sure it was still open. It's #6 on their list of guidelines Also the Hillerman competition is still open until June. Minotaur sponsors four contests a year all with different dates.

According to the P.I. Writers of America web site, they have lost their sponsor. There was no competition last year. The web site says they are currently looking for a new sponsor, and there won't be a competition until they find one.

Thanks for the update, Jack. I was going by the information on the Minotaur site and a quick check shows the competition is still up there.
