The First Line - Open for Submissions
The deadline is August 1 for The First Line's Fall issue. The first sentence for this issue is "The old neighborhood was nearly unrecognizable.". Stories should be 300 to 5000 words in length and any genre is welcome. Payment is $25 to $50. You can find the details here.
