Luna Station Quarterly - Open for Submissions - Women Only

Luna Station Quarterly has opened for submissions to their December issue.  They're looking for speculative fiction stories of 500 to 7000 words.  The deadline is August 15.  Payment is $5.  This market is only open for women writers.  You can find the details here.

Part of me always wonders what the reaction would be if I announced an anthology accepting submissions from only male writers. Are women still seriously underrepresented in science fiction? Most of the writers I correspond with are female, but I don't know the numbers.

Though possibly that's just wishful thinking on my part. (Back in the early '70s, I thought racism would soon be a thing of the past. Ha!) SF isn't as much of a boy's club as it once was, but I'm sure there's still some of that.

I follow quite a few sci-fi posts through the SF Signal site and the rants keep coming about women being underrepresented. I don't know if there's a lot of truth in it or not, as I see plenty of female authors getting published and nominated for awards.
