How High's the Water, Mama?

Just thought I'd let everyone know that even though most of Eastern PA up into New York State is submerged, and the rivers aren't due to crest until tonight and into tomorrow, we're safe and dry. Truth is, if the water reaches us, you'd best have an ark built and ready to go. Sure wish we could send some of this water to our friends in Texas! You can see pictures of the flooding here http://www.wnep.com/

Keep safe out there, everyone!

We are getting a lot of rain but not as much as you. Be safe.

Yeah, it's been coming down pretty steady for the past two days here, Patti. Binghamton, NY got 9 inches in 24 hours which is all coming down the river in our direction. Luckily the creek that runs through our property has four fields and a big hill to climb before it could get to us.

Glad to know that you're safe and likely to remain so.

Thanks, Naomi. I was looking at the pictures at the link and just shaking my head at the devastation. Hard to believe all of this is happening within a 60 to 100 mile radius of our home.

I drove up route 81 two nights ago and they were closing exits from Scranton all the way up to Binghamton.

Wilkes Barre and the Binghamton area are pretty much underwater since then, David. I think the worse hit up this way was from Tunkhannock out through Wyalusing. The school kids are happy out there - the Wyalusing school is under water, so at least someone's happy about the flood.
