Must have been a close call Sandra.

I agree with Paul.

There were many fine stories nominated but these two ladies have my deepest respect for turning in prose that I aspire to write.

Welcome to The Corner, Peter!! And the exclamation marks are just to show how excited and happy I was for everyone! Congratulations on your win.

Thank you, Paul and David. There were so many great stories but the most wonderful part about the nominations was that they showcased the stories and blogs and people who really care about the crime community. This is one of those times when just being nominated was truly wonderful.

What a rush to have just as many exclamation marks as Lawrence Block and Charles Ardai!

Sandra, I read Cold Rifts and it was a very vivid and well-written story. I'm sure you gave me a hell of a run for my money. Congratulations on your nomination and thanks for everything you do for writers on your blog. I'll see ya in the zines!
